Young Musicians Performed at Weymouth in February 2019

The 2019 Young Musicians Festival at Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities was held Saturday and Sunday, February 23 and 24.

Judges for the audition on Saturday were David Heid, Duke University, and Pamela Howland, Winston-Salem.

Twelve students were chosen from eighteen entries to perform at the Finalists Recital on Sunday.

The finalists chosen were Alexander Hutchinson, piano; Sophia Munoz, piano; Owen Setters, piano; John Patrick Hutchinson, Jr, piano; Leah Johnson, violin; Sahara Kokott, vocal; Ben Velevis, piano; Richy Berry, violin; Lena Berry, clarinet; Ben Lewis, guitar; Sonja Woolley, piano; and Christine Berry, piano. Teachers of these finalists are John Tyson, Sue Aceves, Joshua Lowery, Kaitlyn Johnson, Anne Dorsey, Yvonne Haskins, Danny Infantino, and Homer Ferguson.
