The Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities is pleased to announce the 2018 Young Musicians Festival (YMF), on Saturday and Sunday, February 17 & 18!  The Festival provides an opportunity for music students in grades four through twelve, from the counties of Cumberland, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, and Scotland, to perform before credentialed adjudicators from North Carolina schools of music.  Applicants must be currently studying with a teacher in the area of performance for which they plan to audition.  Adjudicator comments are focused on building the technical and musical aspects of a student’s performance area.  The remarks also provide the student’s teacher with particular information helpful for further study.

Teachers will be notified by Monday, February 12, regarding student audition times.  Questions may be directed to Festival Chair, Sue Aceves, at:  SueBeth@charter.net.  You may also visit the Weymouth Center Web site at:  www.weymouthcenter.org

THANK YOU!     This year’s Festival is graciously sponsored by Ralph and Vivian Jacobson.  We look forward to receiving applications for the Young Musicians Festival and to having your students participate in the 2018 Festival!
