wine and cheese on the lawnWeymouth Center has hosted galas, concerts, picnics, parties, and every special occasion imaginable since its inception in 1904.

Beginning with James Boyd, Sr, and continuing with James and Katherine Boyd, Weymouth’s established tradition of generous hospitality is one that we’re proud to carry on today.

Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities is a Georgian style mansion in the Colonial Revival style. Both indoor and outdoor facilities are available for your next special occasion.

Indoors, the Great Room can be fitted with tables for intimate catered affairs or to host larger, less formal events. The Downstairs Library, Upstairs Conference Room, and the North Carolina Hall of Fame are also available for cozy gatherings.

But if it’s a one-of-a-kind gala that you’re planning, we invite you to Weymouth’s gardens for a garden party or evening cocktails. Both the Garden Room and the Terrace are available as are our historic gardens. Whether it’s black-tie or a costume masquerade, the Weymouth staff is experienced and ready to help you plan your event.

The Weymouth house and gardens provide a unique variety of space for community, business, and personal rentals. Whether hosting a large event, corporate retreat, business meeting requiring breakout spaces, or an intimate affair, the 1922 Boyd House gracefully meets your needs.

The commercial kitchen, boardroom, library, great room, veranda, patios and side lawns set within the privacy of the 22-acre estate afford the best of modern conveniences in a historic landmark setting.

Marquis tents are easily accommodated on the two side lawns.
