Professional Photographer Annual Membership Policy
Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities (Weymouth) is a beautiful setting for professional photographers. Although Weymouth is open to the public at no charge, it is private property owned by the Friends of Weymouth, Inc. Considering material and labor, maintenance of our historic buildings and the beautifully manicured grounds is costly.
All professional photographers who wish to use Weymouth property must register with Weymouth as a Photographer Member. The annual fee is $250.00 and provides up to ten 2-hour outdoor professional photography sessions (Monday-Friday). In addition, the membership will also allow for two 2-hour indoor photo sessions with a reservation (Monday – Friday, 10am-5pm). The photographer must first make a photo session reservation with the Weymouth front office. Photographer Members will receive a photo membership card which is good for one year. Weymouth regular membership benefits are also included.
Weymouth is a wedding venue site. Saturday/Sunday photo reservations will not be permitted until one-month from desired date. Outdoor rental fees for Saturday or Sunday are $110 for a 2-hour session. Indoor reservation fees for Saturday or Sunday are $180 for a 2-hour session and based on availability of staff. When you reserve your weekend date please bring the confirmation email with you as the Weymouth Center is not gated and the grounds are open to the public.
If a photographer chooses not to become a member a fee is required for each shoot. For weekdays, the outdoor fee is $75 for 2 hours. Saturday or Sunday, the outdoor fee is $150 for 2 hours. Reservations are required and payment in full is due at time of reservation.
This policy and membership provides a level of order for Weymouth Professional Photographer Members. A professional photographer is defined as someone providing photographic service for any kind of fee, whether cash or in-kind. Additionally, all professional photographers who wish to use Weymouth Center are required to have liability insurance policy or rider which lists Friends of Weymouth, Inc. P.O. Box 939, 555 E. Connecticut Ave., Southern Pines, NC 28388, as “Additional Insured” for $1M. This document must be presented to the front office prior to the reservation.
