Steinway Artist Pamela Howland is a classically trained concert pianist, a specialist in the works of Polish composer Frederic Chopin, and a fan of The Beatles. She is also currently is a Fulbright Scholar (2017-18) living and teaching at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.
Vivacious, imaginative, sensitive and just a trifle unconventional, she is that rare classically trained performing artist who thrives as an entertainer. She communicates emotions to audiences through the language of music, and specializes in combining types of music that will draw in audiences from different ages and backgrounds.
Howland has created original piano arrangements of beloved Beatles tunes, transporting the Fab Four back to Chopin’s musical landscape. In her spectacular new program, Beatles arrangements are paired with favorite Chopin pieces and Howland talks to the audience about her artistic process in both, spotlighting musical ideas that fascinated the pop-rock heroes and the venerated composer alike.
Chopin Meets the Beatles will be fascinating!
