Calendar of Events

Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities has flourished as a cultural center since 1979, with a Writers-in-Residence program & Reading SeriesLiterary Programing, Chamber Music & Summer ConcertsArts and Humanities lectures and various events hosted by the Women of Weymouth and the Young Affiliates.

The Writers-in-Residence program has nurtured and inspired over 600 North Carolina writers and the newly reinstated reading series features specially selected writers and poets for nine readings a season. The Chamber Music Series features nationally and internationally known chamber musicians and performers from the music facilities of North Carolina’s universities. Local youth are provided an opportunity to participate in the Moore County Writers Competition and the Young Musicians Festival.  Weymouth Center also enjoys a strong affiliation with area garden clubs, including the Sandhills Council of Garden Clubs, and is host to a large plant sale each Spring.
